We ask for your prayerful consideration in
helping us complete a special place at
St. Dominic Catholic Parish.
The Prayer Garden has been growing in stages and
are now
enjoyed in many different ways. This place provides comfort to
those seeking a quiet place to reflect and remember. It is a
place for rejoicing with a newly married bride and groom as they pose
for many happily-ever-after photos. It is a place to gather
for First Communion and baptismal pictures.
On the Feast of St. Dominic, August 8, 2010, we unveiled the recognition
monuments in the newly created Memorial Plaza. The plaza is a
gathering place to remember loved ones and lies at the entrance to the
gardens.
In the center of the gardens is the statue of
St. Dominic, our parish Patron Saint.
On the terrace is the cross of Christ rising above and
overlooking the gardens. On May 18, 2008 we
dedicated the Holy Family Shrine with
Archbishop Dolan presiding which included a May crowning Prayer Service. Surrounded by flowers, we hope to
add bronze sculptures of the Pieta and one of our Lord, Jesus
Christ, surrounded by children.
To complete our gardens, we need your help.
Please consider making a gift in your own name
or remembering a birthday or anniversary by contributing in someone
else's name. The gardens will also be a special place to remember
those who are no longer among us with a memorial gift in their name.
