4 Year-Old Kindergarten Ext. 272

Teaching at St. Dominic School since: 1988

Teaching/Experience since: 1981

Degrees and Advanced Training: B.S. in Education; plus 32 credits

Statement of Philosophy:

I strive to help children develop both a positive self-concept and a firm base on which to begin their educational endeavors. Each child is a unique individual and encouraged to freely express himself. To help each child reach his full potential, I design activities, which encourage both a desire and an enthusiasm to learn in addition to enhancing the children’s problem solving abilities. For most children, this is their first experience with a school routine. Therefore, it is important for me to stress cooperation both in work and in play and to concentrate on the development of good social skills. Field trips play an important part in my curriculum as they extend classroom learning in an exciting way.
