Guidance Counselor

Ext. 277

Teaching at St. Dominic School since: 2009

Years Teaching/Experience: Since completing my master’s degree in 2008, I have been a long term substitute counselor for the West Allis/West Milwaukee School District and have worked with the City of Milwaukee Truancy Program (TABS).  Prior to that, I worked in Human Resources and spent several years as a stay-at-home mom.

Degrees and Advanced Training:
Licensed School Counselor
Masters in Counseling
Bachelor of Arts – Psychology/Sociology

Statement of Philosophy:

I believe that a school counseling program is an important part of a student’s academic, social, and personal development.  My role as a counselor is to present regular classroom guidance lessons, meet individually with students who need extra support, and offer groups for students who are dealing with related problems.  My overall goal is to help students develop the skills they need to become successful in life.
