March 22, 2011 Update
Our goal for the FIOF campaign is to build
community through supporting the archdiocesan initiatives and through
three capital improvements of our St. Dominic Master Plan developed
during the Vision 2012 process. The three selected projects are to
update the church interior, build a new athletic facility, and transform
the existing gym into a parish arts and activities center. Each of these
facility enhancements at St. Dominic will provide the needed resources
where parishioners can share the spiritual, educational, recreational,
cultural and social events of their lives in a way that will build
lifelong connections. As you recall, this campaign directs 60% of the
funds raised back to our Parish. Through January 2011, $1,320,988 of the
$1,848,331 pledged has been received. Of this amount, $792,593 (or 60%
of the amount received) has been returned to our Parish. We are
projecting $315,000 in additional Parish funds before the campaign is
completed in November 2011. We have all witnessed the beauty of our
church renovation with the use of these funds and will soon experience
the community building of a new facility. God bless you for your
generous spirit of prayerful and financial support!

O loving and generous God, source of all life,
holiness and goodness,
we thank you for the many gifts you give us throughout our lifelong
journey of faith.
With
faith
in our future, we commit ourselves to the support of
Catholic Education and our own
Lifelong Faith Formation.
With
hope
in
the here and now, we ask you to nourish us in your Spirit so that we may
be
faithful stewards of your gifts.
With
love,
may the sacrifice of our joyful giving be an outward
sign of the true treasure we hold in Jesus.
O faithful God, keep us always
mindful of the good that can happen
when we allow you to work through us as one family united in faith.
We entrust our prayer through the intercession of Mary, the Immaculate
Virgin Mother of God, and St. John the Evangelist, patron of our
archdiocese,
as we pray through Jesus Christ who is the same yesterday, today and
forever. Amen. |
