Cemetery Care Fund: This fund supports the
ongoing care of St. Dominic Cemetery located at the intersection of Marcy and
Lisbon Roads.
Financial Assistance Grants: This program awards
funds for tuition assistance for the parish day school and lifelong faith
formation programs. The amount of an individual grant is determined each year
based on the amount of funds available and the applicant’s specific need. We are
proud to offer a program of fair distribution of funds so that Catholic
education may be a more affordable option for some families.
Human Concerns & Outreach Fund: This fund supports
a wide variety of human concerns and outreach ministries that serve the poor,
homebound, sick and elderly in our own community and all over the world.
Capital Improvements Fund: This fund supports
improvements to our parish facilities as indicated in the Master Plan. The most
recent plan approved by the Parish Council in April 2008 recommends improvements
to our campus to be accomplished as funds allow. Master Plan projects include
renovating the interior of the church, building a new athletic facility,
renovating the existing gym into an arts and activities center, adding an
expanded narthex to the church, renovating the Marcy Center, and expanding the
school.
Non-designated Gifts: There are times when a
non-designated gift can make a big difference in addressing a need that arises.
These gifts of cash, bequests, or appreciated stock given to St. Dominic
Catholic Parish may facilitate a parish need or project, as determined by the
pastor and parish trustees.
Prayer & Worship Fund: This fund supports special
purchases designed to enhance the experience of prayer and worship at the
parish. The fund is used to purchase items such as vestments, liturgical books,
altar linens and liturgical vessels.
Future Priest & Deacon Training Fund: This
fund is designed to help underwrite the educational and formational expenses of
parish members who enter the seminary to study for the priesthood, sisterhood or
permanent diaconate. Funds will also be used to help underwrite the costs
incurred through participation in the Teaching Parish Seminarian Training
Program.
Technology Fund: This fund supports ongoing
parish-wide technology initiatives, including maintenance, development,
training, and new hardware and software.
Alumni Association: This fund supports our efforts
to honor our graduates, create opportunities for alumni to re-establish the
many friendships fostered over their years at St. Dominic School, and connect
our alumni with our parish community by helping to underwrite the alumni
newsletter and class reunions.
Athletic Association: This fund supports the St.
Dominic athletic programs for day school and lifelong faith formation students,
including T-ball, baseball, volleyball, basketball, track, and CYM sports teams
for high school students. Fair play and a spirit of good sportsmanship flow from
the Catholic environment based on the love of God and of one another.
Fine Arts Association: This fund supports the
mission of the St. Dominic’s Fine Arts Association (FAA) which is “to provide
artistic experiences, centered on Christ, which inspire our community to
discover, develop and demonstrate their God-given talents while building the
foundation for a lifelong appreciation of the arts.” The FAA mission is built
on the conviction that the arts can transform lives. The FAA encompasses K3
through grade 8 activities including music, visual arts, drama, forensics and
dance.
